Voortrekker Park private holiday units originated during the mid 90’s when the City of Cape Town decided to make better use of their assets. Because of this decision, a portion of the existing Voortrekker Park Resort was allocated and sub-divided into 105 small “erven” to rent from the City of Cape Town, for the erection of holiday units. Regular campers and other residents were allowed to place their names on a waiting list, controlled by the Local Authority (City). If successful, the applicants were allowed to erect holiday units, in accordance with strict standards, on the allocated “erven”.

The management of the complex is subject to a Constitution, Management rules, Conduct Rules and Policies that, together with the City of Cape Town, is managed by an elected Home Owners Association Executive Council.

The City of Cape Town has over the years, in conjunction with the Home Owners Association, agreed to improve the rules and infrastructure of the complex to the advantage of all the residents. We are proud today of what the City and residents have achieved here.

Voortrekkerpark private vakansie eenhede het gedurende die middel 90’s ontstaan toe Stad Kaapstad besluit het om hul bates beter te benut. As gevolg hiervan, is ʼn gedeelte van die bestaande Voortrekkerpark vakansie oord afgesonder en onderverdeel in 105 klein “erwe” te huur van Stad Kaapstad, vir die oprigting van vakansie eenhede. Gereëlde kampeerders en ander inwoners kon hul name plaas op ʼn waglys, beheer deur die plaaslike owerheid (Die Stad). Indien suksesvol, was aansoekers toegelaat om vakansie eenhede, volgens streng standaarde, op die ge-allokeerde “erwe”, op te rig.

Die bestuur van die kompleks is onderhewig aan ʼn Grondwet, Bestuursreëls, Gedrags Reëls en Beleide wat tesame met Stad Kaapstad deur ʼn verkose Huiseienaarsvereniging Uitvoerende Raad, beheer word.

Stad Kaapstad het oor die jare, in samewerking met die Huiseienaarsvereniging, ingestem om die reëls en infrastruktuur van die kompleks te verbeter tot voordeel van al die inwoners. Ons is vandag trots op wat die Stad en inwoners hier vermag het.
